[FKVN-A133-999-A] Automotive Lighting – A Spotlight on Solar Radiation

posted Aug 24, 2017, 5:14 PM by Songyi Han
The Automotive Lighting industry has a strong focus for OEMs as the lights give their cars and brand a signature and face.  The geometry complexity is big and the physics necessary in thermal simulations of head and tail lights is challenging for engineers as well as for their CFD software.

This presentation is a new addition to our series on Automotive Lighting.  It will focus on solar radiation and will show the creation of hot spots through a lens.  The decisive parameters, such as radiation source and distance are varied in a DoE (Design of Experiments) study and a transient simulation taking into account the movement of the sun’s position will be shown.

This webinar will focus on solar radiation and its impact on hot spots and resulting maximum temperatures.
